Question of Leadership[edit]

Incidentally it is not technically true that the 'Question of Leadership' documentary was banned by the Conservative Government. Actually it was witheld from broadcast by Channel 4 on the grounds of 'lack of balance'. It was then (after an intensive going over by lawyers) cut to a two hour, one part documentary, which was due for broadcast at the time of the Miner's strike, but it was felt to be 'too inflammatory' and again its broadcast was 'postponed'. To date it has never been broadcast on British TV. (Comment by 130.209.6.40)

Perhaps we should mention Ken Loach's involvement in politics:

Realism?[edit]

Yesterday I've got the chance to watch Carravaggio from Ken Loach. This film isn't mentioned, but there is the question :

Which side are you on? from the same year, told. This special film isn't a film to me, there are figures out of Carravaggio's kosmos and rooms well lightend. The action depends on this aethetic, directing figures and room. The in German so called Biographie isn't real told. Myth and fact are mixed out of the dying painters perspective. and it#s no realism! Dreaming gay aethetic! Extra info on NNDB[edit]

NNDB states that he is married with five grown up children. Can someone confirm that, as NNDB is not considered reliable enough to cite in Wikipedia articles. It also states that he was elected for RESPECT in 2004. Was he elected a councillor for them? If so, is he still a member of that party, and still a councillor? if you havent noticed yet wikipedia seems to always be very very interested in someones political stance. even if its only a paragraph about someone they'll almost always be sure to tell the reader whether or not the person was a liberal or a conservative. Ruth Dudley Edwards criticism[edit]

"Like Hidden Agenda before it, The Wind That Shakes the Barley was criticised by Ruth Dudley Edwards for allegedly being too sympathetic to the Irish Republican Army and Provisional Irish Republican Army, though it would transpire that Edwards had not seen the film."
