source/link suggestion[edit]

Here's an article about "I Wanna Be Your Dog" that traces it to the blues song "Baby Please Don't Go." [1] Full disclosure, I am an editor at Crawdaddy!; but I am not posting the link to avoid COI issues. Best, Asst. Editor, Crawdaddy! FenderRhodesScholar | Talk 18:29, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd never heard this song until I bought "Nude & Rude: The Best of Iggy Pop" but it's now a favourite. I am just wondering whether the version on there is the original 1969 version as it just doesn't sound like any other track from that time. In particular the cool solo near the end sounds like an Eno synth concoction but apparently is a some sort of guitar treatment.

Who wrote the song and what instruments were used? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.206.8.162 (talk) 10:32, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
