Stadia[edit]

Changed the part that said "Greek plural" to "Latin plural." While the English word "stadium" does originate from the Greek "stadion," its direct root is the Latin "stadium," which came directly from the Greek "stadion." The etymology goes Greek-->Latin-->English, not Greek-->English as the article implied. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.34.93.184 (talk) 01:28, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And how is "stadia" a hypercorrection? It's a correct Latinate plural form, "chiefly high-register" according to wikt:stadium#English.--17:45, 2 May 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.73.41.45 (talk)

Old version[edit]

The previous version (see http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&page=Fight_Fiercely%2C_Harvard ) should probably have its revisions undeleted, to see if anything can be merged... AnonMoos (talk) 17:23, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Personally, I think we've given this little song more than enough encyclopedic coverage! (c: It's nice to learn there was a previous version, though; I find it rewarding to make a sound article on a subject previously deemed not notable or crufty. The article Bobby Ray went through 4 failed incarnations before I slapped down a version that didn't disappear with the tides. --Boston (talk) 17:36, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
