Removed stub notice[edit]

This article looks reasonably complete. The subject is very narrow. Please add to it if you have any more relevant info but in the meantime I thought it best to remove the stub template. -- ben 11:42, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Little River Band / Best Of 13. Oh What A Night —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.102.60.210 (talk) 03:22, 23 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

  • Several bands (apparently including Little River Band) have recorded songs with the title "Oh What A Night" (for example, see Oh, What a Night (song)), but that phrase is actually only the subtitle of the Gaudio/Parker song and I found no indication that the LRB recording is a cover of this one. "Notoriously"?[edit]

Under cover versions, the article notes that Claude Francois notoriously covered the song. Neither this article nor the article about Claude Francois mention what was notorious about the cover -- in fact, the Claude Francois article doesn't even mention the song. 'Notorious' generally means there was some well-known and generally negative story about something. If this simply means there was a cover that became a hit, then 'notorious' isn't the correct word here. --Valereee 16:21, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While at one time the song may have had the longest chart run (54 weeks), it is no longer accurate, held by How Do I Live with 64 weeks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.163.114.81 (talk) 02:38, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Themes[edit]

I seem to remember hearing that in addition to the obvious theme of a guy's "first time" the lyrics also make more veiled references to the American music scene on the verge of the coming of the Beatles and the British Invasion, especially given that the Four Seasons were one of the biggest acts in pop music prior to the Beatles, and were one of the most successful at weathering the "transition" of the mid-60s. But that could be urban legend or one man's misreading....PurpleChez (talk) 12:29, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
