genre[edit]

this was listed as indie rock in what way is it indie rock? its a funky, hard rock song. just because the band is an indie band, doesnt make the song indie in any way. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.66.26.25 (talk) 20:30, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jack White's putative involvement[edit]

This article claims Jack White sang the backing vocals on the track under the pseudonym John S. O'Leary. The Electric Six general article gives far more detail about this - in this section it claims that his involvement was reported as fact but denied by the band. This information should be reflected in this more specific article on the song itself I feel, and I'll move that section basically as is including citations into this article if there are no objections.

It'd also be great to get a definitive answer to the question of Jack White's involvement. I can't find one that proves the matter one way or the other. CastorQuinn (talk) 02:02, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not about to argue the fact that both the band and Jack himself deny his backup vocals, but cmon' His voice is Brilliantly clear and indistinguishable. ref. my iPhone track #483 on shuffle BrownStarD (talk) 12:57, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What part does Jack sing? The "female" part? If not that, then who did, and who's the woman in the video? Wikiepedia's own article on Electric Six still denies it's him. Is there such a thing as an authoritative source? Did Jack ever admit it? DEFINITELY needs fixing! 188.29.165.110 (talk) 19:15, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Date issues[edit]

I'm wondering where the date of early 2003 for the initial release came from. The information on musicbrainz and grunnenrocks indicates sometime in 2002 for the initial release. While not conclusive in of itself it's also mentioned in the discription for some of the amazon listings (though not given as the release date). Does anyone have concrete evidence for any date? Also, it might be worth mentioning that "Danger! High Voltage" was actually released as a single by The Wildbunch before being released under the Electric Six moniker. Cheers.
