The result of the move request was: not moved: 15 other songs called "Cloud Nine" or "Cloud 9" at the disambiguation page. DrKiernan (talk) 19:36, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cloud Nine (The Temptations song)Cloud Nine (song) – This is the only song in Wikipedia with this name. If the move goes through, I suggest adding a redirect note at the top of the page linking back to Cloud Nine for other uses of the term. Even if other songs by this name eventually get articles, this will still likely remain as the primary topic among songs. Hoops gza (talk) 23:15, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - Sorry Hoops gza, most of your moves make sense, but for these songs, I guess I don't see the removal of a clear disambiguating title "( )" to be of great benefit to anyone. Yes this song is still well known, still second bestselling to Cloud 9 by a different artist in Amazon's 400 plus mp3 returns for "Cloud Nine," yes the others don't have articles, but where is it written in stone that articles can only disambiguate in the universe of stand-alone-articles. I'm guessing that "Cloud 9" by other artistes occurs in text body of their articles, and again even if it doesn't what actual benefit is removing "(The Temptations song)" from title? • Support, per WP:PRECISION: "Use only as much additional detail as necessary. For example, it would be inappropriate to title an article "Queen (rock band)", as Queen (band) is precise enough to distinguish the rock band from other uses of the term Queen." I don't count the Evanescence song because it is just noise. Kauffner (talk) 19:38, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
