Query:

"Alvaro from Spanish music website Popelera compared the dance style of the track to that of its predecessor, "Lemoande" (2012)"

In English, "to compare" can mean two almost opposite things: there is when the two things are like each other (a synonym is liken), and comparing two things that are entirely different. When I look at the source, I see that Stan is "[returning] to dance music after the promotion of her single 'Lemonade'".
