Roger Mortimer, 1st Earl of March was only 8 years old in 1295. I suspect it was his uncle, Roger Mortimer of Chirk who built the castle. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EdWalker58 (talk • contribs) 14:40, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
