Plagiarised text[edit]

The sentences "Noel Gallagher got the title when he misheard the name of the Pixies album Bossanova" and "Noel came up with the phrase "Caught beneath the landslide" when he saw a sugar jar in his girlfriend's kitchen. You can see this peculiar jar in the disk booklet where the lyrics are printed." are completely swiped word-for-word from this site. 68.8.108.62 02:27, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Magnum Opus?[edit]

I dont think this is considered Oasis's magnum opus, surely that title would go to Live Forever or Wonderwall.

Well, Wikipedia defines Magnum opus as "the largest, and perhaps the best, greatest, most popular, or most renowned achievement of an author, artist, or composer." So it depends on how you interpret it. The only one of those not to be subjective is "largest", and it's certainly not the longest song Oasis have recorded, as All Around The World, I Am The Walrus and D'You Know What I Mean are all longer. "Magnum opus" isn't mentioned anywhere in the article at the moment, and i think that's how it should stay. It's too subjective a term to be in an encyclopaedic entry. Instrument Used?[edit]

In the music video, I see that a small wind instrument with a keyboard is played. What is this instrument called?

A Mellotron, I believe.

It's not a Mellotron. As you will see from the image on the Mellotron page, they are certainly not small wind instruments. I can't remember what the instrument looks like on the video, but it could be a Melodica? Julianhall (talk) 08:26, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the instrument is a Melodica. But, there is one overlooked fact over this part of the song that is completely burned in my memory: the guy behind the Melodica solo, what's his name, steals the middle-eight from Alanis Morissette's "Hand in My Pocket." So folks, do you think Morissette could sue even for this small bit of theft? WikiPro1981X (talk) 01:27, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Melodica?[edit]

Seems doubtful. See here. As there are no sources in the Persoannel section, I think it should be removed. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:31, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
