I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Thanks for you work on this article, over all well done and very well referenced. I think the College career section needs a little work as it reads slightly choppy. Forming longer sentences and breaking it up into several paragraphs would help. Also, there is some non neutral phrasing, for example "The accolades didn’t stop there:" Thanks again for your contributions to WP!.

Hi, Samf4u! You are right - that phrase "The accolades didn't stop here" - was the only non-neutral fragment and it is clearly redundant. Also, I noticed that the page's author inadvertently messed with the name of the sports person Bryan James Scott is his official name in the text, Infobox and all the articles I checked, so the Wikipedia title is not "Bryan Scott James" but "Bryan James Scott". Scott is the last name and James is the middle name. Hi, I've created a subpage to propose a revision of the article over here Talk:Bryan Scott (quarterback)/Temp revision. It is taken from an older version of the article - this one. I checked the draft for NPOV and reliable sources.

The article has previously been subject to disruptive edits, edits by connected contributor(s) who didn't either did not know about the disclosures or didn't place them, and it is outdated. The current version has been expanded with new information, and the rest of the article has been cleaned up and organized a little. I cannot move this version of the draft because of a conflict of interest as I am working with Mr. Scott on revising the contents of his page after he consulted me about the tags on his page and the reversion of the edits he had made on the page earlier.

I would also like to request the removal of the undisclosed paid contributor tag from the page since those edits have been removed and I have placed the disclosure. Please let me know if additional information is required for this purpose.

@Hillster: The statistics section is completely unsourced. College statistics should also not be lumped together with professional minor league football stats. The new version adds back "The Spring League" to the infobox, but the general consensus from relevant WikiProjects is to exclude that league since players have to pay to play in it, and the league is considered an exhibition league. The new version adds back a detail about his ancestor being a non-notable military personnel member and sourced to something that doesn't mention he is related to Scott. @Eagles247: Thanks for the review and suggestions. I've made some changes to the draft, you can check them here Talk:Bryan Scott (quarterback)/Temp revision. Here's a quick summary of what I've done:

1. Separated college statistics from professional statistics and sourced both sections.
2. Implemented most of the edits you had made, except the where you changed seasons 2012-13 (and such) to just 2012. The statements following each season mention include numbers from both years. Also, I've kept my version of the career highlights and awards section in the infobox because they are mentioned and sourced in the draft, so it makes sense to have that history as part of the overall quick information about the player.
3. I have re-added the line about his release from the BC Lions. I missed that out in the first go.
4. I have taken out the entire career history section from the infobox - I agree with you about The Springs League Generals, but he never stepped foot on the field with BC Lions and he barely played with Edmonton Eskimos for it to be a part of the Career History section in the infobox.
5. I have removed the mention of his grandfather and its source

@Hillster: Football seasons are written as the year the fall portion takes place, take a look at any American football biography on Wikipedia to verify. "The statements following each season mention include numbers from both years" - I'm not sure what you mean here, all of the statements in which a season is written as "2012–2013" (e.g.) are only talking about one individual season. Please see WP:NFLINFOBOX for why we don't include certain items in the highlights section of infoboxes such as conference records. The formatting I had for that (award followed by year in parentheses) is consistent with other American football biographies. Again, take a look at any American football biography and you'll see minor team tenures listed under career history even if "they never stepped foot on the field". @Hillster: The AfD will likely be closed by an uninvolved administrator at some point now that seven days have passed since it was opened. Since I have participated in that discussion and contributed significantly to this article, I am not able to close it myself. I have added a statistics table to the "College career" section per your suggestion, and modified/improved it based on the table at Mike Kafka#College statistics. I am still not sure about including a statistics table for an exhibition league under "Professional career", as I do not believe any other article on Wikipedia has this for The Spring League games. What specifically are the other improvements you are proposing with that subpage? @Eagles247: The AfD has been closed in favor of the article. Here are the edits I propose from the main article body:

• Expansion and update of the lead section to give a better, concise career summary
• Expansion of the 'Early life' section to include educational details, as well
• Copy-editing of the 'High school career' section with an inclusion of his stats during that period
• Copy-editing of the 'College career' section - it is mostly the same information simply divided into separate paragraphs with an inclusion of a few additional statistics
• Copy-editing of the 'Professional career' section - it is mostly the same information with an inclusion of a few additional statistics

As for the infobox, I found several pages which include TSL in their career highlights section. Here are a few: Quincy Mauger, Keller Chryst. Shea Patterson, Jerry Glanville, Bucky Hodges, Tani Tupou, Alex Hornibrook, McLeod Bethel-Thompson, Praise Martin-Oguike, Avery Young, John Lotulelei, Rashaun Simonise, and Jeremiah Poutasi. There are more pages with the TSL career highlighted in the infobox section. Based on this, I propose that the TSL Generals part should be included in the Career highlights section of the infobox. @Hillster: I'm the editor who added most of those TSL teams to those articles. I added them in November, but many editors have since removed those additions, and I'm now thinking it may be best to leave them out after further researching The Spring League. I had been meaning to revert my edits, but I will post at WT:NFL to see if a consensus can be formed about the inclusion of TSL teams site-wide. A couple comments: the two references in the High school career section of your temporary subpage do not support any of the statements that they follow. In the College career section, "significantly outperforming the national average" is not supported by the reference following it. I have not combed through the rest of your changes, but if they're similar to the first two sections they will need to be improved. Please format your subsequent proposed changes in a "change [x] to [y]" or "add [x] after [y]" format so I and other editors can more easily see what you are suggesting. @Eagles247 Taking a look at the page you said to reference for including/not including certain MVP titles in the career highlights and awards box, and it looks like the tile 'TSL MVP' should be included. Here is the reference taken directly from the link you provided above: "It (Infobox) should also be used for players who played in predecessor leagues such as the American Professional Football Association and the American Football League, and players in the Arena Football League and predecessors." Per this page- it also lists 'League MVPs' to be included in the highlights Infobox. The Spring League is considered a 'predecessor' league. Please clarify as to why Bryan Scott's titles of TSL MVP 2018 and TSL MVP 2020 would not be included? He also won the 2020 TSL Championship - so that should be included in the infobox as well as 'pro-championships' are listed as what to include in the highlights infobox section. @Bears247: I brought up The Spring League at WT:NFL last year (here), and while one response is not much of a consensus, there also was not opposition to excluding TSL from infoboxes. I recommend starting a new discussion at WT:NFL to revisit this if you desire. As for the college conference records, I would put them in the same category as "franchise records", which are listed at WP:NFLINFOBOXNOT as points that are excluded from infoboxes. Again, I would say start up a conversation at WT:NFL to discuss this since it's not explicitly mentioned at NFLINFOBOXNOT, so we can get some clarity on how to proceed with these in the future. Also other players have pre-season stats on their pages. As an example- Kyle Sloter's page reads:

Denver Broncos[edit source]

Sloter signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2017. In the preseason, Sloter completed 31 of 43 passes for 413 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions for a passer rating of 125.4, the highest of any rookie quarterback. He was waived by the Broncos on September 2, 2017.

@Eagles247 There is no place on Wikipedia that I am finding preseason stats as 'non notable.' As an example, Chad Kelly has the preseason stats listed in his wiki article. He is also a player on the Argonauts. I still think the following should be added to the Toronto Argonauts section under Professional Career for Scott's page: "In Toronto's preseason opener, Scott finished 16-for-18 with 155 passing yards and two touchdowns in the second half." There is no place on Wikipedia where preseason stats are notable, and Kelly does not in fact have preseason stats listed in the article. Individual game results even in the regular season would not find themselves in player articles, unless they involved some sort of superlative (a record for pass completions in a game, for instance) or some highly notable event (the Grey Cup final, for instance). @Ravenswing The Spring League was developed to give players a platform to showcase themselves to be filtered into other professional Football Leagues (such as the NFL and CFL) If the Arena Football League is in for consideration to include in Wikipedia articles- I am not sure why The Spring League would not be? Because the Arena Football League was an actual standalone professional league of several decades' standing, with defined schedules, while the "Spring League" played all of 21 games over its first five "seasons," with numerous other scheduled games cancelled. This goes back to my Pop Warner comment: if you truly cannot see the difference between the leagues, then you do not have the expertise to gauge football articles, let alone edit them. And why would we do that? The article has exactly one photo of an interior exhibit: a football signed by the members of the 1974 induction class. You cannot imagine that a fringe quarterback who has played just three professional games should be highlighted among the luminaries of the game.
