Genre[edit]

It's listed as "synthpop - hip-hop", but it's essentially old-style r&b - the lead instrument is piano and the vocals are sung all the way through. 87.113.180.77 (talk) 00:14, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 1 December 2015[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

No consensus to move. Other potentially confusing topics exist, so the current title is not impermissible. bd2412 T 15:09, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bills (LunchMoney Lewis song)Bills (song) – I looked at the discographies of both Arrow and Louis Jordan and there is no song called "Bills" mentioned in either of them. Unreal7 (talk) 23:08, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment there's the Destiny's Child song, which apparently is banned by an edit filter, so I can't type it out, from 1999 which uses Bills triplicated, which could be confused with this (and should be added to the disambiguation page) -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 23:51, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - Louis Jordan discography#1960s had the 1960 single already in the singles listing, but if was difficult to find then Bills (Louis Jordan song) now redirects to discography, there was was a 1960 single https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NTIziDWafY, the other song "Bills" by Arrow aka Alphonsus Cassell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-k1pAuk2McM was only a B-side and doesn't seem notable. The fourth "Bills" song and third "Bills" single was by Denny Denson. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:42, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. No other articles on songs with this title.--Cúchullain t/c 19:32, 9 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Only song of this title that has been shown to be notable. Have a hanote to the dab if absolutely necessary. Jenks24 (talk) 15:13, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • OpposeWP:Partial disambiguation is generally a bad idea. There are several (currently about four) other songs identified on the dab page that are commonly referred to as "Bills", and one of them has an extensive article devoted to it. —BarrelProof (talk) 19:30, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per BarrelProof. The proposed new creates avoidable ambiguity with other songs. They do not currently have an article, but are plausible targets for a search. The nominator's point about Louis Jordan appears to be based on a deficiency in the wikipiedia discography -- the song is on Youtube Louis Jordan - Bills, complete with an image of the single. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 02:01, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per WP:PDAB and BP & BHG. --Richhoncho (talk) 09:20, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per Jenks24, until other articles are created which have a commonname of simply "Bills". Tiggerjay (talk) 02:08, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bills (LunchMoney Lewis song)Bills (song) – We need to revisit this in light of the RfC on song article titles and recent RMs such as this and this. The prevailing consensus has been to use the concise disambiguator –(song) – if there are no other articles on songs by different artists; in this case there are no other songs titled "Bills". Westpac campaign 2023 using this song[edit]

Almost every time I watch a video on YouTube and it gets interrupted by an ad, where sometimes it's Westpac, it seems that Westpac is now using this song in their advertising campaign as of January 2023. Edgar Searle (talk) 20:14, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
