Behind The Wall of Sleep - The Smithereens (song)[edit]
It has long been rumored that 'Behind the Wall of Sleep' was about Bangles bassist Michael Steele but songwriter Pat DiNizio has made it clear that the song was inspired by Kim Ernst - bassist with all-girl Boston-based band The Bristols - with whom the Smithereens once shared a bill.
