Been down so long[edit]

I found a claim here that "Been Down So Long" was a cover of the J. B. Lenoir tune "Been Down For So Long". Turns out not to be true - I finally listened to Lenoir's song on Youtube, and it is a different song.

The tag "been down so long it looks like up to me" must have, in fact, come from the Farina book and/or the subsequent movie. Ironically (or perhaps the Doors knew this), Farina had gotten it from an old Furry Lewis blues, "I Will Turn Your Money Green" (1928).Brianyoumans (talk) 14:05, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Imprisonments during Doors' performances?![edit]

Someone who understands what the author of that line meant by "owing to his imprisonments during Doors' performances" should fix that part. Morrison was imprisoned during Doors' performances? What's that all about? Embram (talk) 15:07, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
