Baishe NiangniangBai Suzhen – Per MOS:COMMONNAME. The Chinese and Japanese articles use 白娘子, meaning "Lady Bai", but "Lady Bai" is too ambiguous and not as commonly used in English. "Baishe Niangniang" (白蛇娘娘) is almost never used in English, but its translation, Madam White Snake, has seen some usage in academic sources. However, "Madam White Snake" is an honourific specifically used by those who worship her as a deity. A quick Google search gives more English-language results for "Bai Suzhen", the character's most popularly known name, in academic and literary sources.
