Is this not more correctly pedology, the study of soils? Agrogeology sounds made-up, just like the other geology stub, agrogeologist. It is not a single field of geology, which is the study of rocks; it is a mishmash of pedology, hydrology and at best, sedimentology. Really. Rolinator 09:48, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Like pedology, but more like soil chemistry, edaphology (soil as it effects plants, etc.), agrology (but not as defined in Canada), and/or agricultural soil science. Long ago there was a tradition of agricultural geologists, and consistent with the above, some are now regarded as pedologists, being involved with the inventory and survey of agricultural land resources. The agrogeologist deal seems instead to be more an industrial mineral (phosphate, potassium, lime, gypsum, boron, etc.) focus, placing agro~~eco~~geology in line with the edaphology and agricultural soil science categories. -- Paleorthid 06:47, 30 November 2006 (UTC) spell edit 17:56, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
