Changes re: The NME, The Sun and references.[edit]

1) First of all, it's better to put 'Acquiesce is set to be a single' as it hasn't yet been officially confirmed. I don't consider online retailers to be official confirmation, although the fact that at least 4 different retailers all have the same information tells us that official confirmation is almost certain to be coming soon (in this case probably on September 11, when the album tracklisting is officially announced). Because of this, the reference to 'Acquiesce is set to be a single' should be one of those online retailers and not The Sun / The NME as...

2) The NME's article is just repeating exactly what the Sun said, with no different details whatsoever. Therefore, both articles don't need to be listed as references, only one will do. Also, The Sun's Oasis articles cannot be wholly trusted (see the Stop the Clocks page for recent history of this.

3) In the 'Tracklisting' section, there doesn't need to be a repeated reference, as it has already been referenced in the opening paragraphs (in this case, to hmv.co.jp).--Mr. Monobrow 16:05, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Oasis acquiesce.jpg[edit]

Image:Oasis acquiesce.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
