Notes[edit]

  • Use of this image doesn't make much sense to me. It's from a presidential rally but the caption is about his vocal performance.
  •  Comment: this is the most recent picture of West that exists on Wiki --K. Peake 08:25, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I changed the alt text to Kanye West in 2020, but the normal text can stay as it is because having a picture of him here without any text explaining the significance would be pointless. --K. Peake 17:15, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kyle Peake: Sorry, but I'm finding that to not be in line with Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Captions at all. Not every image needs a caption. And the caption is supposed to clearly identify the subject of the photo. West is not singing in the photo, so the caption is misleading. I know this is nit picky but I'm gonna need some better justification if you're not going to change the caption. ––FormalDude talk 06:39, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The image has now been removed altogether, as this is acceptable when there's already one image anyway. --K. Peake 08:53, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The song was met with generally positive reviews from music critics, who mostly praised the vocals. this is pretty clearly WP:SYNTH. I don't think any sources have evaluated the reviews of this song yet. If I'm wrong please provide a verifying source.

Rate Attribute Review Comment
1. Well-written:
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct. No problems at all.
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation. This article is a great example of good article layout.
2. Verifiable with no original research:
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline. Referencing is verifiable and attributed as necessary.
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose). Sourcing is reliable. Article follows NPOV.
2c. it contains no original research. One issue with WP:SYNTH, has been resolved.
2d. it contains no copyright violations or plagiarism. No indication of any copyright violations.
3. Broad in its coverage:
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic. Good job covering a well known artist's relatively new song.
3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style). Good summary style.
4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each. Article incorporates multiple viewpoints where necessary, and is

otherwise written from a NPOV.

5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute. Unfortunately not many recent images are available for Kanye West.

You did a good job making use of photos where available.

6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content.
6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions. See note above.
7. Overall assessment. Listed as a Good Article.

  • . New enough (promoted to GA status on 12/28) and long enough (> 10,000 characters of narrative text). Article is neutrally written and well cited. Earwig detected no issues. Hooks are short enough, sourced and interesting. DYK complete. Cbl62 (talk) 05:28, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
