Articles for deletion[edit]

If we think an article is beyond redemption (as I did with Sleep stripping) and propose it for deletion, should we still count it in our totals? (BTW, when I clicked on "starting a new section" above, my question ended up on the June drive talk page.)--Miniapolis (talk) 17:48, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Our general rule is that if you've done any work on it and then it gets deleted, you can count it. However, if an article is obviously beyond saving then we don't recommend you do anything, purely because that's wasting time. In the above case, I would nominate it and keep it on my watchlist; then, on the off chance that it is saved, follow up with whatever need to be done. TY, and fixed. Thanks; I thought that was the case, and felt funny wanting to take credit when all I did was AfD it :-).--Miniapolis (talk) 02:44, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tables[edit]

I worked on Postal codes in Sri Lanka and turned some unformatted material into tables. However, tables are new to me, and someone else with greater competence could probably improve on their appearance. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:03, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have asked Kerowyn to have a look. They're the only one I've ever seen work on tables like that. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 17:05, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good to me. I just added headers to the last few tables. Thanks for taking that on, Cwmhiraeth. I know that editing tables in a particularly tedious business. Kerowyn Leave a note 21:29, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
