One edit went around eliminating many Ultima articles, putting a redirect in their place. I challenged him on three of them. The article for the Avatar is now at [1]. Please share your opinions on it, and other articles. Dream Focus 01:58, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

The Ultima template and merge discussion

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Ultima needs to include this project, and whatever else is Ultima related. The merge discussions are long and it hard to navigate with other things going on, so best to just have that in a separate page, perhaps here where it belongs. What do you think? Should we just move it on over here, everything written so far, and direct people to it? Dream Focus 22:57, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Other templates list portals not WikiProjects. Not really seeing the difference here. Dream Focus 23:34, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
A portal promotes a topic, and has a wikiproject in it, while a wikiproject just monitors things. I see places with links to their portals, such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, but don't see anyone linking to a project. What do you think? Would that be proper? Something fans of the series might want to know about and get involved with? Dream Focus 23:45, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

found 56 people who love Ultima enough to use a template on their user page

I found [2] 56 Wikipedia users who use:

This user plays the Ultima series of computer games.

I'm going to contact all of them to invite them to join. Dream Focus 15:12, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Great idea, hopefully some of them are active. I would also check the edit history of the main ultima pages. Ikip (talk) 15:29, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
I'm moderately active, but thanks for the invitation, I will definitely help where possible. Zharmad (talk) 02:00, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Avatar, Lord British, and Companions of the Avatar articles

Talk:List_of_Ultima_characters#Merge_discussion Seven people were against any mergers, one said only the companions article should merge, and four said merge them all. After arguing back and forth a ways, some were still determined to eliminate those articles. A break was had, they asking for dispute resolution, but none yet coming. Some don't feel like the references found for Avatar (Ultima) or Lord British are enough to prove their notability, although information is added in both. If anyone knows of any magazines that mentioned the Avatar as the best video game character ever, or most notable for a role playing game, or best developed, please add that in. Dream Focus 02:12, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

It went to the administration incident board, but after a delay of no responses, went to archive yesterday [3], no one making a ruling. Not sure where to go now to seek justice. There was clearly no consensus to merge. Its archived at [4] now. Any suggestions? Who can I take this to and get a ruling? Dream Focus 14:16, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Do you seriously read what you write Dream? "Not sure where to go now to seek justice"? "Illegal merge"?--Kung Fu Man (talk) 14:50, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
You ignored consensus, argued nonstop, and did it anyway, ignoring what the majority of people said was best. There should be somewhere to report this too, and get comment on. Dream Focus 17:29, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, guys, but I removed the wikiproject from this template. These navigation templates generally should not contain links to Wikipedia project pages and Wikipedia itself because it hurts people who want to reuse the articles elsewhere (see WP:SELF). As much I hate to deny exposure to our fine nascent Wikiproject, but these seem to be the rules =/ --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 18:58, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Oh. I thought I saw others doing it. No problem, my mistake. Dream Focus 19:11, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Ultima 8 article needs some references

On the list of complaints fans had about the series, I remember some of those mentioned in interviews by Richard Garriott. Searching for information now. I removed a dead link to a magazine which is no longer around, that domain name bought up by one of those irritating placeholder and ad sites. The reference does include the name of the magazine and the date of the article though. I also started a page at the Ultima Wikia for listing every interview he has done, that making it easier to search for things later on. http://ultima.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_interviews_done_by_Richard_Garriott Dream Focus 14:48, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

Ultima 3 Exodus needs screenshots from original version

There are two screenshots of gameplay in the article now, both from the Nintendo version, released four years after the original. Does anyone have screenshots we can use showing what it originally looked like upon release? I think that's where most of its sales were from anyway. Dream Focus 01:32, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Ultima VII Part 2: Serpent Isle

I made an article for this, since there are plenty of reviews for it, and enough information about it to fill its own article. Most though, since it was released as a separate full price game, complete with its own expansion pack and official clue book, there no reason it shouldn't have its own article. Virtues of Ultima has ended in merge to Ultima (series)

I didn't release it was up for AFD again. I would think all of the mentions it gets in news sources pointing out its importance, plus the books mentioning it, some of those mentioned in the article already, would've been enough. Virtues of Ultima Not sure how much information can be merged over. Lot of Ultima articles link to this. Dream Focus 04:39, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

If anyone has any old magazines that review Ultima 4, and talk about the Virtues in detail, or mention the Virtues elsewhere, please post here about them. We can send this to deletion review and have it restored if we have enough proof of how notable this was, to convince the nonbelievers. Dream Focus 06:41, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Britannia (Ultima) is up for deletion.

Britannia (Ultima) has been nominated for deletion. You can participate in the AFD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Britannia (Ultima). If anyone knows of any magazines, books about games, newspapers, review sites, or whatnot, that talk about Britannia, please mention them there. Dream Focus 20:36, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

Ended as merge. Dream Focus 11:18, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Discussion now about the Avatar article

Searching the Video game wikiproject for reliable sources, shows over a hundred thousand results when I narrow it down to "Avatar" "Ultima" and "character". [5] There are 2,450,000 when I search only for "Ultima" AND "Avatar". Regular Google search for "Avatar" AND "Ultima" has 26,000,000 results. Its hard to find one for just the character though. Anyone feel like helping me search, please do so.

In addition to what is already in the article, I see http://stars.ign.com/objects/142/14241147.html Dream Focus 13:16, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

Task force cleanup

I've proposed a comprehensive cleanup of WP:VG's inactive task forces (which would include marking this TF as inactive and historical, and redirecting all task force talk pages, including this one), if you'll take a look czar  02:11, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
