Universal places related userboxes

There are many kinds of userboxes related to places: travel, "lives in", " was born " and so on. Idea: make a universal userbox (or userboxes, depending on how universal it would be) with parameters (one being code of the country) that uses Wikidata to get country's name and flag, thus eliminating the need to make userboxes one by one. — andrybak (talk) 23:56, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

@Andrybak I have tried to make something that fits your request, have a look at my pages User:Tedjam/Templates/Places_ubx/doc and User:Tedjam/Templates/Places_ubx-2/doc. The second is a little temperamental at the moment, as it doesn't look at commons for the images only at wikipedia. I'm not sure how to fix it, but there should be a way. Ottawa RedBlacks

A black background with white text for where you would put the team's acronym "OTT". A red background with white text for where you would put "This user is an Ottawa RedBlacks fan." William Shakespeare

As the subject states, I hold the belief that getting thanks for a contribution is valuable and helps by making contributors feel appreciated (seeing your alerts counter red with a thanks gives that warm fuzzy feeling of appreciation). I believe a userbox would be a good start to spread that belief, causing more people to send thanks for good contributions. I did a very quick search for this but found nothing. Found this page in my search and figured some people here might have some valuable input on this matter? If there is interest, I could probably figure out how to make the userbox myself. Can someone please create a user box that lists the number of images you have uploaded to wikipedia AND a link to Special:ListFiles/username allowing people to automatically link to see all the images you have uploaded? There is currently such a user box with a link for uploads to commons (as seen below) but I can't find one for uploads to Wikipedia. Censorship

I have a request, as I'm not good at creating userboxes. We currently have userboxes on political censorship, but not a single userbox for all of the other kinds (Self-Censorship, Religious Censorship, "Hate Speech" Censorship etc.) I'm not asking for a million different userboxes, but I would like to request one very simple userbox.

You could even use the same picture that the political one has.

Carpooling and Ridesharing

It would be nice to have Userboxes for carpoolers and users of Transportation Network Companies. I found a good number of rail and bus userboxes at Wikipedia:Userboxes/Transportation and one for taxi drivers at Wikipedia:Userboxes/Profession#Road_Transport, but I couldn't find anything related to sharing personal vehicles. Manga Genre Preferences

It would be great for people interested in specific genres of manga to be able to list the general genre in a userbox instead of trying to name a bunch of different series. Monster List

I'm a long time Wikipedia user but a newbie to the deep formal WP culture. Please forgive me if I'm doing this wrong.

I was not having much success with my searches for userboxes. I started with a short wish list but as usual it got out of control. I thought it would be rude to drop this bomb on this list, so for now it rests on User:JasonCarswell/Userboxes until I learn the proper protocols.

Hi, I was hoping to find a UBX about the popular K-Pop band, EXO, but there isn't any. If I knew how to make one I probably would, but I just don't know my way around these things.
