Babylon 5's use of the Internet AfD

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Babylon 5's use of the Internet--Much like the last AfD, there are plenty of sources out there, but we need people to help add them to the article. There's also an inactive merge discussion which might be revisited, or a WP:SS-style summary might be included... Please stop by the article and make improvements. Conflicts of Interest links to be corrected

I don't know how to fix this. Each and every link to the B5 episode Conflicts of Interest links only to "Conflicts of Interest" instead of "Conflicts of Interest (Babylon 5)". Not only in the episode list (and the neighbouring episodes), but even in the disambuigation page of the term "Conflict of interest"! So this episode is totally lost to anyone who doesn't care to write into the searchbox fully "Conflicts of Interest (Babylon 5)". 81.182.236.182 (talk) 00:24, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Right now, the main "conflict of interest" article links to the disambiguation page, which links to the B5 episode. It's hard to justify more prominent placement than that. If you see a poorly wikilink'ed article, you can fix it yourself or just post here and I'll take care of it. There are simply too many links to the "Conflict of interest" page for me to ferret out the B5 links for updating. Jclemens (talk) 02:27, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
I'd be interested in working on this, but I need a better description of the problem. Can you give an example or two of some pages which contains a link that should point to the episode actually contains one that is misdirected? In the meantime I'll look around myself. Thanks. --Captain Infinity (talk) 12:17, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Update: Found and corrected 4 bad links, looking for more but I think that's about it. --Captain Infinity (talk) 12:33, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Complete Re-Writes of Ship Articles

Hi, Thought I better drop a note letting you know of something that I did/doing on some of the Babylon 5 ship articles. Basically I’m rewriting them to contain more actual facts than fan based observations and ideas. Don’t know how this will be received since all the ship articles have previously had much the same type of content. I think the new content is more interesting and informative to those wishing to know a bit about the ships. Then again I would.  :) Any thoughts on this. The articles I changed were for the Omega and Starfury, reasons are in the appropriate discussion pages. Minsk59 (talk) 21:20, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Babylon 4

Babylon 4 was redirected to Babylon 5 at the end of last year. 76.66.198.171 (talk) 19:39, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

The article about Patricia Tallman states:

... she had guest-starring roles on Tales from the Dark Side, and the science fiction shows, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Babylon 5 (as Lyta Alexander).

I wouldn't say she had a guest-starring role. If you agree, would somebody please change this? Thanks --Steffen (talk) 11:35, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

I worked on it some, it still may need some more work to be both accurate and easy to read. The truth is, she held multiple positions in the show (star then guest then star) and this is very hard to fit in a single sentence. --Aladdin Sane (talk) 04:17, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Io (Babylon 5)

Io (Babylon 5) has been nominated for deletion 70.29.210.174 (talk) 05:27, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Noticed that. I'm generally of the opinion that several of the smaller articles really don't meet notability guidelines, and should be compiled into list articles. Thoughts? Jclemens (talk) 06:34, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
I agree. Merge merge merge. --Masamage 17:35, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Babylon 5 Role-Playing Game

I noticed there is no separate entry for the B5 roleplaying game despite several other pen and paper RPGs having such entries. I'm not sure if this is by design (previous project decision) or just an oversight. Normally an RPG entry includes either highlighted products and/or a list of published materials. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.148.6.222 (talk) 08:19, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Mythology of Babylon 5

Hello to all Babylon 5 fans here in Wikipedia. I have created a new B5 article called Mythology of Babylon 5, inspired by the article Mythology of Stargate. Since I'm not a native english speaker, I have only created a list of some of the most important mythological elements in the show, but I'm sure that there will be a lot of fans willing to expand the article and give definitions to the terms in the list. Good luck! :-) Preslavk (talk) 15:02, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

The article currently has no content. A collection of headers does not constitute a viable article. If the article is not expanded, there's a good chance it will be nominated for deletion. - Eureka Lott 16:16, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
My point exactly!Preslavk (talk) 18:03, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Better to userify it now. There's no good reason why it should exist as a stub in mainspace. Jclemens (talk) 01:09, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
I'm really against this. The word "myth" is used improperly, I feel. If such an article is needed at all, it should be called Universe of Babylon 5, or Fictional artifacts of Babylon 5, or anything except "myth." Since Babylon 5 is based on myth (specifically Babylonian creation myth), calling this article "myth" is confusing at best, misleading at worst. --Aladdin Sane (talk) 04:24, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Discussion of List of characters: What's Major, what's Minor, and what's Too Minor?

I just added a new section at Talk:List of Babylon 5 characters, see The categories...: An opinion.

I won't reproduce it here, because I already wrote way too much. But if you do read it, I'd appreciate hearing your opinion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aladdin Sane (talkcontribs) 21:04, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Talk Page Archive: Archive 1 created

Archive 1 has been created with a link in the top right area of the page. Archive 2, when needed in the future, should be a new subpage (same as creating an article) titled "Talk:WikiProject Babylon 5/Archive 2" and the link added to the template on this page's code. For further information on archiving see Wikipedia:How to archive a talk page. (Please retain this notice.)

Archive 1 was created on 11 Oct 2009, with a proposed cycle time of one year. Barring significant changes in activity, another archive might be considered in Oct 2010.

Archive 1 contains significant discussion of project activity, and its archiving should not be construed as a judgment of relevance of the subject matter discussed. The only motive for archiving is to clean up the main Talk page.

Archive 1 contains discussions started from the start of Project discussion (Aug 2006) through 11 Oct 2008 (the last section opened in that range was from 27 Aug 2008). There may also be responses in the Archive that are later than 11 Oct 2008. --Aladdin Sane (talk) 17:37, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Request to change cite style in main article Babylon 5

I posted a new section in Talk:Babylon 5 called Request change in citation style. I'm just cross-posting here on the off chance some interested editor is watching this page and not that one (now that I think about it, that's unlikely). —Aladdin Sane (talk) 03:20, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Addendum: I should note I'm making this request per WikiProject Babylon 5 To do list item 3: "Improve Babylon 5 to Good Article status" —Aladdin Sane (talk) 03:31, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Shadow 'battlecrab'

This article is very much garbage and needs to be heavily rewritten, starting with the name. The battlecrab term is fanon and does not appear in any canon sources. Furthermore, the article has a whole bunch of conjecture and junk that isn't cited properly. Jtrainor (talk) 08:07, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
