Mark Miller: I just left some comments on another page related to this topic, and mentioned you there. Am pinging you again here. This page (which I realize you created four years ago and has barely been touched since then) has some layout problems I wanted to point out-- e.g., when you have a paragraph that reads,

"What this project is

Editor retention is a Wikipedia-wide problem. The focus of this wikiproject is NOT to point fingers or make accusations. Our focus is to build a stronger Wikipedia for the future, a Wikipedia in which editors want to work and participate. Pointing out the positive actions of administrators and others is encouraged, as we believe the best way to lead is by example. We want to point out what is RIGHT about Wikipedia, encourage others to use those methods, and establish new methods and ideas that make editing Wikipedia enjoyable, fulfilling and rewarding for everyone.

Be involved with the Dispute resolution process. Early mediation of problems prevents blocks and protracted edit wars which disrupt Wikipedia and helps keep things civil. Volunteer on Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard, a place where small content disputes can be resolved, and a gateway to other venues..."

you need to create a real transition between those parts as though they were part of a larger sentence. Ideally, from a writing perspective, you should not begin with a section heading that ends with the word "is" at all: you should state something like "About this project" or "Project goals", yes? Also, along those lines, you should not begin that second paragraph with an imperative as you have done here (and on a few other related pages-- do you understand what I mean by this?). Take a look at the other page I edited on this topic to see what I have done to make its style consistent and its writing flow more professionally and consistently. I've been publishing articles in paper journals and magazines for over a decade, and have a lot of experience with this, but only so much time to do it to all of Wikipedia as well! I hope I am teaching you to fish rather than giving you fish, yes? I love teaching, though I sometimes come across as terse and/ or rude, and that is not my intention (here or anywhere).
