I imagine it's mere spitting in the wind to suggest that we should refrain from putting this how-to on the main page? Not censored doesn't mean can't exercise discretion, but what weight has that ever carried. Awien (talk) 19:43, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

See User:Sasata/Reviewed content for a long list of fungus Featured Articles done mainly by the same writer who did this one. I'm doing the same things for this fungus article's TFA column that we've done for many, many fungus articles before it ... with the addition of that last sentence. The link there is useful for finding out how the laws treat possession or sale of this fungus in your area. What information should be censored, and what problem would that censorship solve? - Dank (push to talk) 20:07, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yup, spitting in the wind. Can you really not see that it might be better to refrain from putting on the Main Page for all those kids out there to see how to find and identify illegal magic mushrooms? When did "Oh, btw, it's illegal" ever stop them? Awien (talk) 20:48, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Part of my job is to attempt to maintain a kind of neutrality on questions like this, so that I'm available to close discussions if people want to debate. If you want to argue the point, please do, I'm not stopping you. Depending on what you're looking for, you want one of WP:ERRORS, WT:TFA, the village pump, or What Wikipedia is not. - Dank (push to talk) 21:19, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
