SVG profiles[edit]

What profiles are to be recommended/avoided? Any "issues" to be aware of? I have experienced problems with clipping masks in Inkscape, for example.--Adoniscik (talk) 02:54, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

troubles[edit]

I have experienced some problems uploading SVG files to Wikipedia. At best, Wikipedia does not render the image exactly how I would like, and at worst, Wikipedia will not even recognize my file. Any suggestions? --Lasunncty (talk) 21:09, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can you point me to some examples? I can examine the SVG file and see what the problem could be. I have made a short list of problems that I have encountered at Wikipedia:How_to_Draw_a_Diagram_with_Inkscape. Usually liberal use of stroke-to-path or some easy & minor manual editng of the tag makes the wiki happy! User A1 (talk) 23:18, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blind alley[edit]

The article says For a discussion of vector graphics see Wikipedia:Images but the linked page does not appear to mention them. --Alastair Rae (talk) 10:47, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It used to. I have removed the link. User A1 (talk) 23:17, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Use of Ghostscript and pdf2svg[edit]

My question is if it should be acceptable to use Ghostscript to produce a PDF from PostScript code and then use pdf2svg to convert the resulting PDF to SVG? (Ghostscript cannot produce SVG output directly; this is why I use pdf2svg.) Additionally, then the PostScript code is the preferred form to edit the diagram; how and where should this code be provided and made available, if so? --Zzo38 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:23, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
