This course explores Indigenous Peoples' experiences with the Canadian criminal justice system, including policing, courts, criminality, etc. Historical context is covered early in the course but the main focus is on contemporary issues. Because we examine discourse and knowledge production about these issues, Wikipedia assignments will include analyzing and critiquing existing articles and making small edits, especially adding high quality, diverse citations.
