His work concerns issues relating to aspects of South African society, ranging from the art scene to investigations of wayward masculinity and violence.[1] He works with a wide variety of media but considers his work neo-conceptual with an emphasis on craft and materiality.[1] Prior to studying art, he apprenticed as a church interior restorer in the United Kindom, and he has been involved in various community-based initiatives.[2] He is featured in the permanent collections of the University of Cape Town, IZIKO South African National Gallery and Sanlam Art Collection.
