A rather full report this week, largely due to one particular event.

Rank Article Class Views Image Notes/about
1 Anna Sorokin 3,759,292 However, the article topping the list has no connection to the Super Bowl. Instead we have Anna Sorokin, a German fraudster convicted of grand larceny and theft of services. Sorokin spent 4 years in New York pretending to be a wealthy heiress, and trying to establish herself as a socialite despite not having the money to maintain the lavish lifestyle she was trying to lead. She was eventually arrested after people started to notice she wasn't paying any of the bills she had accumulated, and ended up in prison. She's on the list because of #3, a dramatisation of this period which is one of several ways she's attempted to profit off her story.
2 Dr. Dre 1,305,834 The first of many Super Bowl-related topics on the list, Dr. Dre was one of several performers at this event's halftime show. The show, described as a nostalgia-inducing performance of old-school West Coast hip-hop, received critical acclaim and a higher viewership than the game.
3 Inventing Anna 1,193,019 #1 owes her views to this, a Netflix series about her activity that became the service's top-watched program, despite generally mixed reviews.
4 Eminem 1,083,853 Another performer at the Super Bowl halftime show, a track this artist performed reached the Top 10 in the Spotify streaming chart.
5 Matthew Stafford 1,082,400 The winning quarterback... at the Super Bowl. After 12 seasons with the Detroit Lions, Stafford switched to #21 this year, which proved a good move as the Los Angeles Rams won the championship after being seeded fourth in the NFC.
6 Justin Trudeau 1,015,060 Well, my commentary from last week aged well. On February 14, the Canadian prime minister controversially invoked the Emergencies Act in response to the Canada convoy protest, the first time this had been done since the act was passed in 1988.
7 Mary J. Blige 1,004,235 Two more performers at the Super Bowl halftime show.
8 Snoop Dogg 991,505
9 Joe Burrow 978,747 The losing quarterback... at the Super Bowl. Burrow made the championship game in his second season as an NFL player, leading the Cincinnati Bengals into the Super Bowl for the first time since 1988.
10 2022 Winter Olympics 973,268 In other news, the Olympics are still going on.
11 Bappi Lahiri 932,243 India has lost another big name in film music. Lahiri, a songwriter known for his blingy dress style, made a name for himself as a soundtrack composer during the later part of the 20th century. He was noted for popularising disco music in Indian cinema, and he sang in many of his films as well.
12 Julia Garner 919,737 The star of #3, where she plays #1.
13 Euphoria (American TV series) 911,888 The HBO teen drama continued to continue this week, with the release of another episode. Sorry, can't think of anything else to say.
14 Ukraine 910,412 Eight years after taking Crimea and the Donbass, Russia appears to be threatening to invade the rest of Ukraine, although they've denied such intentions (wow, really?!). With large Russian troop deployments in Russia and Belarus, and sharply increasing tensions between Russia and NATO, the world is watching the crisis unfold, and many seem to want to find out more about the country at the centre of it.

This Report was published before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

15 Valentine's Day 888,993 This week also saw the annual day that, depending on who you ask, is either a catalyst for heartfelt displays of romantic affection, or a festival of people embarrassing themselves while attempting to start a relationship.
16 List of Super Bowl halftime shows 878,258 Aaand... we're back to the Super Bowl, with the list of halftime shows, the event itself, and the Rams wide receiver who was named MVP all making it onto the list.
17 Super Bowl LVI 877,648
18 Cooper Kupp 869,037
19 Deaths in 2022 862,196 You can bury me in some deep valley
For many years where I may lay
Then you may learn to love another
While I am sleeping in my grave...
20 Aaron Donald 860,983 Right, I'm getting tired of this. We now have a Rams defensive tackle who apparently intercepted the last attempt at scoring.

And the team that won the game.

21 Los Angeles Rams 833,842
22 Simon Leviev 791,393 Along the same lines as #1, we have another con artist who ended up in prison and is now the subject of a Netflix documentary. This one established a Ponzi scheme via online dating, using what he'd conned from previous victims to lure new ones, all while pretending to be the son of an Israeli businessman. His documentary is apparently a bit better, and seems to have done quite well, but is still far from a home run.
23 Odell Beckham Jr. 711,688 Rounding things out, we have the other Rams wide receiver, another halftime show performer, and the head coach of the winning team.
24 Kendrick Lamar 700,897
25 Sean McVay 689,041
