Hi, I'm Mike from the Philppines. I was just a passive reader of Wikipedia articles before. However, when I saw that my hometown has a really short and incomplete information (a stub!), I thought of contributing to it's history and culture, and posting pics so that everyone could see how beautiful my hometown is. Hope it'll be a featured article someday!

Hello, I’m Portuguese and I have a formation in History; I also have study for some years in France and I’m primarily interested in contemporary history. But as I also love horses, so I’m also interested in studies about carriages and so on. Wine Regions and wine companies of my country are an issue that is starting to interest me more and more… I’m also interest in Portuguese Industrial history in general, that’s why I hope to give some contributions in that area to.

It's time to create a page to introduce the artist Gilbert Young to those who might not know him and I'm trying to rise to meet the challenge. It's difficult because the artist, at 71, has quite a few pieces that have a kind of cult following, has received many awards and recognitions, yet has NO organization of his photos, articles, files, etc. so I'm organizing documents and working to learn Wikipedia at the same time. I was finally able to carve out a couple of days to work on the page this week and thought I'd be able to begin uploading photos (I'm starting with the 1960's) by now, but my sandbox still says I'm not confirmed. I'm thinking this effort will "take a village"...but as a renowned African American artist, Gilbert Young needs this and it's been on my to-do list for years. You all will be hearing a lot from me...and I thank you in advance.
