Issues to be mediated[edit]

Primary issues (added by the filing party)
  1. Should the article be renamed with the original term of the language "Nepal Bhasa" and as recognized by the government of Nepal?
Additional issues (added by other parties)

Comment - This is basically a Move Request. There have been three previous Move Requests at this page, the second of which resulted in the current title and the third confirmed the results of the second. It has been more than a year since the third and the filing party here recently attempted a new (fourth) Requested Move but brought neither new arguments nor new evidence and it was subsequently closed. Given that and the last sentence of the first paragraph of Wikipedia:CONTENTDISPUTE, this RFM seems out of process.--William Thweatt TalkContribs 09:01, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Parties' agreement to mediation[edit]

  1. I agree that the article should be renamed back to "Nepal Bhasa" which is the official name. Naming it as Newar or Newari would be like naming English language as Angrezi language article, because we say it so.

Decision of the Mediation Committee[edit]

  • Reject. Dispute resolution, including formal mediation, does not handle processes such as Requested Move which have their own built-in resolution process. For the Mediation Committee, TransporterMan (TALK) 18:21, 29 December 2015 (UTC) (Chairperson)[reply]
