CM Punk[edit]

I've been doing significant edits to this page for some months now and have decided to put it up for peer review. Wrestling articles on wikipedia tend to have lots of problems due to the many years and information so I've wanted to make a great article on a relatively unknown one who has only recently reached the spotlight. It could also bring questions in wrestling of what needs to be and doesn't need to be sourced i.e. should I give a footnote to the wrestling event where X event occurred. Any reviewing would be helpful and hopefully I can make the changes without messing with the format of WP:PW and still reaching a good status. --- Lid 13:09, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I know absolutely nothing about wrestling, but the article looks good and reads well to me. I could generally follow it and understand it without any prior subject knowledge. It seemed long to me, but a wrestling fan probably wouldn't find it too long. I notice you don't have any feedback here, but there is quite a lot on the discussion page. • Thank you for your kind words, I tried to make it readable (I've done many revisions since filing this peer review) and to have someone say they could largelly understand it is a relief. In regards to your comment on the discussion page: with the discussion page is that it tends to be speculation and has problems seperation reality from kayfabe, also quite a few of those posts are mine. I've tried to address most of the points but a fair few also collide with the details laid out by Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling, such as theme music which is used in some articles but is usually left to the article music in professional wrestling. The only real exception is when I mentioned his career in Full Impact Pro but I have left that out largelly as it is the sister promotion of Ring of Honor and they share rosters. His role in ROH was the most important part of his career until his debut in ECW and the article was already quite long. In addition there is a lot less information available on FIP then the other promotions due to, as stated before, it being the sister show to the much higher status ROH. I hope that's cleared everything. –– Lid(Talk) 13:06, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
