New redlist for Women Physiologists[edit]

  • A new redlist was created for Women Physiologists. This was created by womeninred.org and automatically generated using wikidata e.g. people with gender female and occupation physiologist who do not have a wikipedia article in any language. Redlists are lists of Wikipedia:Red links where articles are wanted.

Articles needed on Women in Physiology[edit]

Our goal during the edit-a-thon was to turn as many of the red links below into blue links, by creating new biographies. These women are all listed in Women phsysiologists : centenary celebrations and beyond.[1]

Preparation notes[edit]

Things you can work on[edit]

  • Write a biography of a woman physiologist (see redlist above)
  • Transate a biography of a woman physiologist into a different language
  • With permission from the subject(s), upload pictures you have of scientists to wikimedia commons, many scientists do not have good portraits on wikipedia because of complex licensing and copyright issues see Wikipedia:A picture of you
  • Improve or increase the number of inbound links to a given page
  • Encourage journalists to write about women in science so there are good secondary sources
