Black Lunch Table Wikimedia Project Manager
In collaboration with BLT Lead Organizers, the Project Manager will explore methods for growing BLT’s Wikipedia project.  Experience with editing is not required, but preferred. The project manager must be enthusiastic about the project, experienced with working collaboratively, and extremely organized.


Project Manager will:

  • Attend meetings with Wiki team
  • Organize Mailchimp communication
  • Compile list of institutions and exhibitions that coincide the BLT project
  • Work with accountant to help maintain budget
  • Work closely with Leads and Proxies on all aspects of programming
  • Maintains meetup pages, eventbrite, outreach dashboard
  • Outreach to librarians and professors to invite events
  • Research communities local to institutional hosts for direct invite lists
  • Facilitate event preparation: organize refreshments/food/caterers; reserves childcare for special events; guest speaker for special events
  • Pulls listeria queries
  • Creates site-specific book lists for editathons
  • Researches creates and queries site-specific task lists


Additional responsibilities and tasks may include organizing with BLT to generate best practices documents, working with other team members, and generating more shareable content on training and organizational tips.
