Leonhard Seppala[edit]

Article(s): Leonhard Seppala

Request: The photos have unnecessary detail around the key images. It'd be great if you could crop the monument photo to focus in on the monument itself, not the surrounding scenery. As for the plaque on the monument, it'd look much better if the photo was cropped so that the image showed only the plaque and not the scenery in the distance. Somuchtolearn (talk) 16:48, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Graphist opinion(s):

 Done Cropped & straightened plaque. Left the monument shot mostly as is, though gave it a little more sky above and cropped slightly to more center the monument in the shot. At first I cropped the monument shot tighter, but I think the slightly wider shot showing a little background looks better, so I left it. – JBarta (talk) 15:52, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved

Article(s): Truncatella scalarina

Request: Please could you remove the very odd strong green tint, and also lighten the image just a little bit? Maybe also remove the odd dots in the lower right hand corner? Many thanks! Invertzoo (talk) 16:31, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Graphist opinion(s):  Done I've removed the green tint and lightened the image. The background I've just changed to black, hope that's okay; Let me know what you think. - Kingpin13 (talk) 19:40, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much Kingpin, it's already so much better than it was! But do you think you could get out even more of the green and also make the shells a bit lighter still? The shells are still rather green in the shadowed areas and in the opening of the shell on the left. The shells should really be a sort of very pale golden-tan like this one. Invertzoo (talk) 23:33, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. Done again but to a greater extent this time, to mimic that other picture you linked to. I was thinking perhaps the green in the top right was some kind of algae or something. Hopefully that's okay this time around. - Kingpin13 (talk) 07:20, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oh wow! That's great!! Thank you so much Kingpin. It really makes the article look the way it should be now. What a difference! Thanks again. Invertzoo (talk) 13:05, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Two more shell images, color adjust and brighten[edit]

Article(s): Truncatella vincentiana

Request: These two images of a different species of Truncatella are also too greenish and too whitish. All the shells should be that pale golden tan color, more or less as shown here. The second of these two images needs to be a bit brighter, if the shell does not loose any sculptural detail that way. Also the backgrounds would be better if they were black. Invertzoo (talk) 13:21, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Graphist opinion(s):

"Texture" of the background? There really is no texture, just crap that came through on the scan. At any rate I cleaned it up. Leaving various dirt and smudges made no sense to me. There's a bit under the "u" that probably needs to go. And there's a mark I removed after the "e" that could possibly be an acute accent. Don't know. It can be put back in if necessary. – JBarta (talk) 04:06, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
