The Gibraltar Multilingual Challenge
Welcome to the Gibraltar writing, illustrating and mapping (using Openstreetmap) challenge for GibraltarpediA. This challenge ran until Boxing Day (26 December) 2012.
How it works

To participate you must sign up on the users and points page: you must include a link to your talk page (it may be on any Wikipedia, but please test the link to make sure it works!)

The challenge was based on a points system, with the goal for each participant.

Articles

  • 2 points: a new stub article (100 words of text, with internal and external links) or contribute to a template
  • 4 points: a start article of 400 words
  • 5 points: a new short article (500 words of text, with internal and external links, inline ref and image)
  • 7 points: a "Did you know?" quality article
  • 8 points: a new Good Article
  • 20 points: a Featured Article

Images

  • 1 point: 5 new photographs added to Wikimedia Commons relating to Gibraltar (added to the category GibraltarpediA)
  • 1 point: 1 historic photograph added to Wikimedia Commons relating to Gibraltar (added to the category GibraltarpediA)
  • 1 point: geotagging 3 images on Wikimedia Commons relating to Gibraltar that do not have geotags

Mapping

  • 1 point: for plotting 3 objects in Openstreetmap
  • 1 point: embedding a Wikipedia article in Openstreetmap
