Please cut and paste new entries to the bottom of this page, creating a new monthly archive (by closing date) when necessary.
- For promoted entries, add '''Promoted Example.ogg''' --~~~~ to the bottom of the entry, replacing Example.ogg with the file that was promoted.
- For entries not promoted, add '''Not promoted''' --~~~~ to the bottom of the entry.
- For entries demoted, add '''Demoted Example.ogg''' --~~~~ to the bottom of the entry.
Use variants as appropriate, e.g. with a large set of files, all of which pass, '''Promoted all''' is fine, but if one of them didn't pass for some reason, make sure that's clear.

- Support although the seemingly "whistle sound" at 6 sec is tiny a bit distracting, this is a 100 old sound of Wagner's famous work.--Caspian blue 04:07, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
- Support but note that Ride of the Valkyries currently has the sound 2 times listed. Staxringold talkcontribs 06:03, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose Either we need a good performance or a historic one by a famous orchestra. This is neither. There should be some good material available for such a famous piece. Has anyone looked? Berlin Phil? Furtwängler? --Kleinzach 01:26, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- Comment Do you imagine that there is the slightest likelihood that the Berlin Philharmonic or DGG would grant public domain for a recent recording? Get serious. Edison (talk) 04:22, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

File:WoodrowWilson-addresstoAmericanIndians.ogg[edit]
We need a Woodrow Wilson sound, and this gets right at it with an interesting sound that has been stable in article space for a while (though I've restored it). Staxringold talkcontribs 00:42, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
- Nominate and support. Staxringold talkcontribs 00:42, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose per the technical issue; the noise seems like a result from transferring sound to computer with a wire. Unless this distracting noise is reduced, my vote would remain here.--Caspian blue 02:42, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose The original file [1] is free of the weird artifacts introduced by the "restoration." I would support the original file without the odd sounds introduced in the background. Edison (talk) 04:12, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose Too strong on the dehiss. ThemFromSpace 10:11, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
