Soap Bubble[edit]

Original - A soap bubble is a very thin film of soap water that forms a sphere with an iridescent surface.A soap bubble can exist because the surface layer of a liquid (usually water) has a certain surface tension, which causes the layer to behave somewhat like an elastic sheet. Because the film is very thin, roughly 1 micron, refraction isn't a significant effect and reflections from the two surfaces of the film coincide. The upright image is from the near surface and the inverted image is from the far surface.

  • Oppose - very nice picture, but it's out of focus. Luca (talk) 05:59, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Slightly out of focus, but good enough to illustrate the subject. Also, probably the best, quality and composition wise. --Muhammad(talk) 16:01, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Luca, should be possible to do better given some of the insect in flight shots floating about. Noodle snacks (talk) 07:56, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
