This article is a comprehensive listing of all official releases by Powderfinger, an Australian rock group. As of September 2007, Powderfinger have released six studio albums, twenty-two singles, four extended plays, two live albums, one "best of" album and three video releases.

Powderfinger formed in Brisbane, Australia, in 1989.[1] It saw only two lineup changes and by 1992, the lineup consisted of Bernard Fanning, John Collins, Ian Haug, Darren Middleton and Jon Coghill, which has remained the lineup since.[2]

Shortly after the independent release of their debut self-titled EP in 1993, Powderfinger signed on to a major record label to release their second EP,[3] Transfusion, and in 1994, they released their debut album Parables for Wooden Ears. After performances at music festivals and appearances on different compilation albums,[4] Powderfinger released their second studio album, Double Allergic.

After recognition from the album's high-selling singles, Powderfinger went on to release Internationalist in 1998, which sold over 280,000 copies,[5] reached platinum status over five times,[6] and won and was nominated for several ARIA Music Awards, including "Album of the Year" and "Best Rock Album".[7] September 2000 saw the release of Powderfinger's fourth album, Odyssey Number Five, which sold over 350,000 copies,[8] and saw several ARIA Award-winning singles released, as well as contributing the songs "These Days" and "My Kinda Scene" to the soundtracks for major motion pictures.[9][10][11]

Vulture Street was released in 2003, winning four ARIA Awards[7] and selling over 400,000 copies.[12] In 2004, the group released a greatest hits album comprised of songs from their early recording era, named Fingerprints: The Best of Powderfinger, 1994-2000. Weeks later, the group released their first live album, which was also released as a live DVD. The group then assumed a hiatus to allow its members to pursue their side projects. After two years, the band returned from their hiatus and released their sixth studio album, Dream Days at the Hotel Existence followed by the Across the Great Divide nationwide tour with fellow Australian rock band Silverchair.[13]
