I am nominating this for featured list because having worked on it extensively for the past few months, I believe it meets the featured list criteria. I'm not sure how to regard the stability of a list which will continue to gain entries on a regular basis for the next five years, but I'll see what other people think about that. Comments purely on the prose, etc, follow......
I was kinda expecting somebody to bring up the stability issue, but I figured that I wouldn't consider the list to be a violation of criteria 6 as no edit wars are really affecting the article and the content won't be changing significantly on a daily basis – really just one minor weekly edit consisting of updating the number of weeks at number one for a single or adding a new number-one hit – don't think waiting half a decade for a nomination is necessary in this case. "With his 2012 single "Make Me Proud", Drake broke the record for the most number-one hits on the chart, taking over the previous title holder, Diddy; he has since attained 14 chart-toppers in total" => this could be read as saying that Drake has had 14 number ones since "Make Me Proud", which obviously isn't the case. I would say "With his 2012 single "Make Me Proud", which was his [n]th song to top the chart, Drake broke the record for the most number-one hits on the chart, previously held by Diddy; as of [whenever] Drake has attained 14 chart-toppers in total"

"on the week of October 20, 2012" - is "on the week" valid in US English? I am British and we would not say that, we'd say "in the week" or, if the date in question is a "week ending" date then maybe "on the chart dated October 20, 2012"

"with WQHT program director Ebro Darden arguig" => "with Ebro Darden, program director of New York City radio station WQHT, arguing" - not every reader will grasp that WQHT is a radio station

Comment There is inconsistency in the titling of the three lists ("singles" is used in the 1980s/1990s and 2000s lists, while "songs" is used in the 2010s list). Is this intentional? --Philpill691 (talk) 00:49, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Philpill691: Yeah, it's intentional. This particular page was moved to reflect the chart changes which took effect in 2012 – prior to that this chart was based solely on sales (and in the 2000s, airplay) of rap singles, but with the new changes incorporating digital download sales, streaming, etc. it's possible for album tracks to chart without being released as singles. Comments I think this is good overall, but I do have some major concerns.
  • Like Chris, I'm also concerned about the article's stability (is it going to be completely different in a year or two's time?), but that's not something that I would oppose over.

  • The key might be better suited as a table, as in, for example, here.
  • Not really a FL criterion, but it might be worth archiving any online links you have through either WebCite or the Internet Archive, just in case they go dead at a later date.

  • I'm not sure that the article title is as precise as it could be. "List of Billboard number-one rap songs of the 2010s" sounds to me like these are the weekly best-selling rap songs on the main Billboard chart, whereas the lead implies that these are actually the number ones on Hot Rap Songs, a completely separate chart. Moving the article to, say, List of Hot Rap Songs number ones of the 2010s would fix that.

      • That's certainly an improvement. Personally, I don't think you need to include "hits" in the title, as the inclusion of "Hot Rap Songs" implies that this isn't going to be a list of albums or anything like that, but that's up to you.   • Some of the lead goes into a bit too much detail about the chart in general. The article is about Hot Rap Songs during the 2010s, so discussing how the chart was compiled in 1989 or 2002 doesn't seem entirely relevant to me. The lead mentions who holds the record for most number ones ever, but not for the decade (is it Drake? Jay-Z?).
    • Rewritten to remove portions that may be considered irrelevant for the decade; added the 2010s most number-ones record holder (Drake). Holiday56 (talk) 20:12, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Similar decade lists (e.g. here or here) include tables indicating which artists/songs have been at number one for the longest – could similar stats be included here?
    • I considered adding data tables for the most number-ones in initial drafts of the article, but in the end I figure that the sortable function in the main table, not to mention the fact that this stuff is covered in the main Hot Rap Songs article, would make such a table redundant – it also breaks consistency with the other rap number-ones articles.       • That's the sort of information that I'd expect to see in this article though. It may well be available in the main Hot Rap Songs article, but, per WP:Summary style, it should probably be here as well. If one of our readers comes to this article to find out which artist has spent the most time at number one, they're not going to want to have to add up a bunch of numbers just to find that information out.         • I've added a sentence in the lead which mentions counts for the top five artists with regards to longest time spent at number one; I'm still somewhat skeptical as to whether an entire section is necessary, but if another user chimes in and feels that he'd like to see a whole table I'll gladly concede.           • There are no other issues that I can see, but I would like to hear another editor's opinion on the table issue before I support. For reference, of the 15 featured lists of music charts for specific decades, five of them don't have a dedicated section for these sorts of stats (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), while the other ten do (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10). Suppport with comments- 1) I don't think you need an additional table for how long each artist has been on the chart; listing the top 5 is fine by me. 2) There doesn't seem to be a mention in the lead of which song has spent the longest on the chart ("Fancy"), in addition to which artists. 3) Redirects: streaming data, BedRock, Nielsen Business Media (in refs) 4) Archive links and deadurl=no? Be still my heart! That said: 5) You abruptly switch from cite web to cite journal for Billboard; pick one. --PresN 19:23, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
