  • " A.J. McLean" -> "A. J. McLean".
  • Is it "Backstreet Boys" or "the Backstreet Boys"?
    • Their official name is "Backstreet Boys" but since they're 'boys', a 'the' should come before. eg. If you're talking about a particular group of boys who have died, you don't say, "Boys are dead". You say, "the boys are dead". KingdomHearts25 (talk) 18:07, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "entered the top-ten " don't think that needs to be hyphenated.
  • Would link "certified" in the lead.
  • "It sold over 30 million copies internationally.[10][11][12]" do you need three cites for one fact?
  • "As of 2010..." it's mid-2012, any chance of an update?

  • Remove spaces between text and cites/notes.
  • "Cassette" doesn't need to be capitalised, and I thought MiniDisc was one word.
  • "US: 13× Platinum[40] (Diamond)" you probably should explain this.
  • ""—" denotes items which were not released in that country or failed to chart." this note only appears in one table, mid-way through the article.
  • Certifications in the Singles table are bullet pointed, those in the Home videos section are not bullet pointed. Would be consistent.
  • "Alan Calzatti [85]" and "Ray Kay [102]" etc etc etc, remove the space between the text and the cite.
  • Avoid SHOUTING in the refs.
  • Check for publication dates on your refs, e.g. BBC refs usually have publication dates like ref 12 (15 Feb 2000).
  • Avoid spaced hyphens or em-dashes in the ref titles, use unspaced en-dashes where appropriate.

  • Home and Music videos tables do no meet MOS:DTT and will need to be formatted the same way the previous tables are
This hasn't been done, I see no col or row scopes in either table. I've asked of every discography I've reviewed recently, so just because two lists don't adhere to this doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. Maybe you misinterpreted what i meant, but the table should match the format of the ones before, currently they don't. Have a look at Kelly Rowland discography to see the way it should be formatted. Sorry, I completely misunderstood you. Is it correct now? However the "Years" column in the music video section is different than in the rest of the discography in the Kelly Rowland discography, and now in the Backstreet Boys discography.   • "and Kevin Richardson. Richardson...". I never like to see blatant repetition like this from one sentence to the next. See if you can separate the two Richardsons a bit.
  • Alt text for the photo would be nice.
  • Music videos: The Director column is sorting by first name, instead of the more customary and preferable last name.
  • What makes PerezHilton.com (ref 2) a reliable source? Can we find a better source for Kevin Richardson rejoining the group than a gossip site like this?
  • Refs 7 and 9 are supposedly to Nielsen Soundscan, but neither goes to a Nielsen website page. Instead, ref 7 is to a personal website (not reliable) and ref 9 is to backstreet.net (unreliable if it isn't the group's official site, which I don't think it is).
  • Refs 26, 43, 49, and 52 have hyphens in their titles that should be dashes instead.
  • Is a page number possible for ref 57?

There are already certifications for seven different countries and I don't see the need to add three more, especially given that the aforementioned countries are not major markets, unless there is a rule that says that there have to be certifications for ten different countries, in which case I'll add them. Although nothing says you have to list these certifications, it is generally common practice that you list all of the certifications available for the countries you use in the discography. I agree that it is difficult to search certifications on those pages, as they're very lengthy. However, as long as you use the correct distinguishing letters for each IFPI cert (IFPI SWI for Switzerland, etc.) then there is no limit on the number of IFPIs that can appear in one table – like I said, all the certs possible for the countries in the table should be used. If you like, I can add the Swedish certs in myself. Also:
  • Finnish certification link here.
  • The link to the Dutch certification database gives no certifications for the Backstreet Boys (their proper database has been down for ages). If you cannot find a replacement link, you should remove these certifications as they are thus unverifiable.
  • To avoid confusion, European certifications should be listed as "IFPI EUR" instead of just "IFPI", otherwise it is unclear where the certification is for.
  • For some of these albums and songs, New Zealand certifications can be found at rianz.org.nz/rianz/oldchart.asp?chartNum=xxxx&chartKind=x (replace x's where appropriate).   • You don't need all of the empty cells in the Live albums table. Just use the ones for the countries necessary.
  • Per WP:DISCOGSTYLE, the certification providers should be listed in the certification columns, not the countries (for example, "US" becomes RIAA). See WP:DISCOGSTYLE#Listing certifications for a list of certification providers and further information on making changes.
