Duke of Edinburgh-class cruisers[edit]
This small class of armoured cruisers principally served in World War I. Both ships participated in the unsuccessful pursuit of the German battlecruiser Goeben and the light cruiser Breslau at the beginning of the war before they were transferred to the Red Sea for convoy escort duties. They later joined the Grand Fleet in the UK and participated in the Battle of Jutland where Black Prince was sunk with all hands. The remaining ship spent the rest of the war on blockade and convoy escort duties before she was scrapped in 1920.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 15:36, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

- I am not a fan of topics on semi-obscure ppl, but this seems to be a fine topic. However, sports teams usually include coaches also. WHat makes all the players notable, while the coach is not? Doesn't the coach receive a medal also? Nergaal (talk) 10:21, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- WP:NOLYMPICS, which says that Athletes from any sport are presumed notable if they have competed at the Summer or Winter Olympic games or have won a medal at the Paralympic Games. This makes all the Gliders notable, but as a coach John Triscari is not presumed notable. And no, coaches do not get Olympic or Paralympic medals. I could try and assemble an article on John. - I've created an article on John Triscari, and have nominated it for GA. Sports articles take months to come up for review, and there is no guarantee that it will pass. An on and off project for the past seven years, but it's finally done! 1933 was once the most active Atlantic hurricane season, and there were several important hurricanes. All of the storms that are article-worthy have them. Storms 5, 13, and 18 could theoretically get articles, but I don't see them missing as being a major missing link. For 5, it was a weak hurricane that happened to affect US (meaning there is probably info, but not much more than what's in the article). 13 struck a week before a much deadlier hurricane, so there isn't enough info. And 18 only affected the Caribbean, weirdly without that much info. A Google news search reveals minimal info for it. So I think the topic is done then. However, it's still not entirely clear to me what beach is meant by "Along the beach" in 1933 Trinidad hurricane#Impact. Is it the Mexican or Floridian coast?

In 1933 Texas tropical storm#Impact, it might be worth clarifying whether the damage across Shelby and Panola counties was $1.5 million per county (i.e. $3 million across the two counties), or some other set of figures that added up to $1.5 million (in which case, are the specific figures for each county available?).

- 1933 Treasure Coast hurricane : In 1933 Treasure Coast hurricane#Meteorological history, it would be helpful to orientate the dates to the actual subject. For example, you instead of "on August 27 […]", you could say "on August 27, four days previously, […]". The dates are particularly important because of the hurricane's proximity to another storm, so having to scroll back to the lead or infobox to get a reminder of the context of the dates is burdensome where it wouldn't otherwise be. No other issues.

- 1933 Tampico hurricane : No issues. This article is particularly good (though that may be because the martial law happenings make it even more interesting to read).

: This article was promoted to FA some years ago, and I see concerns have been raised on the talk page that there is inaccurate information. Is the article up-to-date and does it still satisfy the FA criteria? It seems sound, but I assume you will have recently reviewed it from an expert's perspective.

Everything looks to be in good shape, with the newest promotion of Hurricane Bonnie. There is another article that could be included. The 1986 Jamaica floods were the same system that later spawned Tropical Storm Andrew, but it wasn't a tropical cyclone. - Comments - In the season article, the source formatting needs some work. In the span of three consecutive references, you list the authors as Miles B. Lawrence, Lawrence, Miles, and Miles Lawrence. The "Dr" title is used for Harold Gerrish, but not for anybody else (Gray at the very least, and I have to believe most of the hurricane specialists have PhDs). This happens a couple times: "30 March 2009. Retrieved July 7, 2009." I would also like to see {{subscription required}} used a bit more, but that's a personal preference. Just a note that the referencing style across all the pages isn't consistent. 1986 Atlantic hurricane season has 4 International and 86 American, Bonnie has 22 ISO, 3 International and 16 American, Charlie 41 ISO, 1 International and 19 American and Danielle 15 ISO and 9 American.
