Mentioned at WP:AN[edit]

Please see Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Christopher Langan where I have mentioned you. Johnuniq (talk) 06:05, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not connected with any of the other participants in this topic.
The individual subject of the article engaged in many discussions in Quora, from where he was permanently banned. So I've became curious about his bio and I've found many inaccuracies in the main Wikipedia article.
Yes, my account is new but it's not a SPA as you you're inferring.
Thank you. ZenMechanics (talk) 12:11, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explanation. Obviously many of Wikipedia's articles will be about controversial topics which attract off-wiki attention from time to time. The community here is rather intolerant when campaigning intrudes into article improvement. You might like to check the history of this page to see how I have changed your comments. I've done that to demonstrate how comments are indented and signed. I will make two edits so the differences are clearer. Don't worry about it but further information can be seen at WP:TP if wanted. 01:21, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
Thank you very much for your help. (I'm testing if this works in my mobile).

The article was vandalized again. They are not respecting what the admins decided.

ZenMechanics (talk) 10:13, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Johnuniq:, can you verify the last edit history? The page was heavily edited disregarding what the admins decided. Thank you. ZenMechanics (talk) 13:40, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am not going to get involved at Christopher Langan or its talk. Johnuniq (talk) 22:27, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Thank you.
I'm not connected to any other of the editors. I was in fact part of groups that discussed Philosophy, Mathematics and Logic. This article called my attention since a discussion of its author in Quora. ZenMechanics (talk) 12:06, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Bradv:The article was heavily edited again, contrary to what the admins have decided. ZenMechanics (talk) 14:19, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your disruptive editing in the Langan bio[edit]

If you want to make an edit to a controversial section of the bio, weigh in on the talk page. I made a section on this already and in fact it's been discussed frequently. Consensus is multiple. Move on, TIA. DrL (talk) 07:22, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Point to me where I've made a disruptive edit.

Thank you.
