First, thank you for closing the threads that had inadequate prior discussion. Second, I think that you forgot to sign the one on British Somaliland. Third, in general, if I have commented on a thread, even to say that something is inadequate about it, it is all right to leave it open for 24 hours until you or I or TransporterMan check on it again. No.Was just skimming through the list of pending submissions when your rejection caught my notice.Anyways, irrespective of the potential of the article, please try to be as prudent and correct as possible regarding the rejection.(while it's true that a majority of AFC submissions are basically too worse to be ever mainspaced, I have seen some enthusiastic devoted contributors who come up with occasional gems after being vetted by multiple reviewers in the process!).Also it's always better to use the preview button before submitting a review.Cheers!Winged Blades Godric 13:50, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Firstly, thank you for accepting the article Rivigo, which I added. Next, I have a query. The article's header still shows Draft:Rivigo even though it has been moved to the main space. I wanted to know whether it is a usual occurrence or not. Please let me know if some other action needs to be performed from my end to make is appear without the Draft tag.

@Nirmit Arora: Thanks for bringing it to my notice. It's been moved back to the draft space because it looked like an advert. User:Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi moved it back. Try improving the article to make it more neutral. If you're associated with the subject of the article, you must not write the article as per WP:COI. I suggest resubmitting it after rewriting it! @Yashovardhan Dhanania: I request you to read the article once more and let me know which part of it appears biased. I can also point you to a few articles which appear similar to mine and have been accepted, like OYO Rooms.
@Nirmit Arora: I feel particularly the logistics in India section is unnecessary, you could instead consider writing a more general article on logistics in India. As for the rest, i think you should contact the user who moved it back to the draft space. Do you have any Conflict of interest with the subject? If so, please specify it at the article talk page. The leading English news paper, The Hindu has an article on this award (Reference -1). She has also received Yash Bharti Award, the highest award from Uttar Pradesh. The leading Hindi news paper Dainik Jagran has an article on this (Reference-4) and Wiki page Yash Bharti Award also has her name(No. 28 in the year 2015). Are these references (The Hindu, Dainki Jagran and Wiki) are not reliable ? .. She has been consistently performing all over the country and abroad for last 18 years. Don't you think Wiki should have and article on her ? need your guidance. Thanks.

@AtulWikiacnt: I agree that the subject is notable but our WP:BLP requires that every contentious claim be supported with an inline citation. I suggest adding inline citations for every paragraph that's not been cited. Though, if you just add citations to the early life section, I'll accept it. Make these changes and resubmit it. I am writing in regards to the reason for denial of our Wikipedia page. The reason given was that we used sources of content create by the user, which is false. Every single citation was from an independent news source including Forbes and GolfDigest (which are both highly reputable news sources). Please take a look at the sources again.

Thanks Yashovardhan. Yes we will have more news coverage of the company coming up, however Forbes and GolfDigest are among the most highly recognized media sources in the golf industry. For transparency, I am the public relations manager for the company. Do we need to hit a certain number of articles to resubmit? Submission of The Software Tools Users Group (STUG)

Hello Yashovardhan, Thank you for your comment: "I have a strong feeling the author has a WP:COI which should be declared. The name of the coordinator of the project and the author seem to match."

Yes, of course, I was the leader of the project and I wrote the article. There had been a previous version of the article written by Peter Salus, who was once the Executive Director of Usenix. It was brief and in some places incorrect. It eventually disappeared from Wikipedia. For years I have been wanting to replace that, and finally got to it. During the same time period I served on the Usenix Board of Directors, even as President, so I was heavily involved with both organizations.

I was certainly not paid to write this article. I have now also included the COI designation in the article, as you suggested. If you wish, I could get someone like Peter Salus to check the article for accuracy. If you would like that, please let me know.

AFC declines

Hey, I've noticed a few of your declines recently have been for "MOS" violations (lack of sections, headers, etc). MOS violations are never a reason to decline a draft. If there are issues with the formatting on an otherwise acceptable draft, fix them! It's much easier for an experienced editor to make those changes than for a relatively new user to struggle through (even if they have the WP:CHEATSHEET. Primefac (talk) 20:14, 6 April 2017 (UTC)

@Primefac: thanks for writing here! In almost all those cases, there was another thing or two missing for which it would be denied otherwise. I just mentioned the MOS point alongside. Article Declined

Hello, we submitted a Politician article and it was declined. We did a lot of research on the front end about other political figures, including the following: Sam Massell, Anna Peterson, Theresa Thomlinson, Ceasar Mitchell, Mary Norwood, etc and it does not appear the notability as presented per their page is unlike what is presented in this article. 1) How are the citations listed in the above examples weighed differently than the ones in the Jannquell Peters draft? 2) As a reviewer, do you use sources outside of the ones presented in the articles to determine the notability of person? 3)I am a novice, is there a board or list of people that I can hire to fine tune the article (by the way I not Jannquell Peters)?

  1. we have a set policy for politicians - WP:POLITICIANS which clearly defines whether a politician is notable enough or not to have a Wikipedia article.
  2. As a reviewer, i might do a quick Google search to ascertain the notability of the subject. Though, in your case, I just read through the article and it was quick and easy to decide that she wasn't notable enough to have her own article.
  3. well, you night ask for help at editor assistance and other places for specific issues but there's no board on hire which will improve the article for you. You can get outside help but they are required to declare that they are being paid as per WP:COI.
I'd suggest going through the policy to ascertain on yourself whether the subject is notable enough. It's no point improving the article until our policies are met. Yashovardhan (talk) 02:17, 8 April 2017 (UTC)

Paradise Garden(Georgia) was declined. You cite: 1) lack of inline citations. I have read published wikipedia articles which did not have inline citations. Pls explain why inline citations are required in my article, but not others. 2) reads like an essay. Pls explain why you believe this. I believe that the entire article is neutral in tone and encyclopedic. Pls tell me specifically where this is not the case. 3)divide into sections. Pls explain why this would improve the article. @Hespeb: please do not cite other articles to justify your article. If you believe an article isn't worthy enough to exist, go ahead and nominate it for deletion.
