Why can't I edit some particular pages?

Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.

How do I create an article?

See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.

How do I create citations?

1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:

@Kashmiri Stop threatening me, saying anything doesn't make you true. Do you have any proof of the correct date, I have already given you 3 references. 1st is from Wikipedia accepted reference. I have even given you a reference to a book which is dedicated to Date.

Wikipedia is not a publisher of your truth. The dating of Adi Shankara is a subject of academic publications, and this encyclopaedic article attempts to summarise them all, including what appears to be the prevailing academic consensus. It seems to be your dogma, I'm just asking to fix the correct date, already given you all the reference, Why 1 reference is consider over all other reference, I'm not asking you to remove and make non-dispute date, I'm asking to replace the correct mentioned date, you can put the dispute tag over there next to date but at least put most reference one.

Or you already makeup your mind not to listen. Even I ask whatever reference you want I'll try to provide it. You are not understanding the situation here.

Regarding your edit-warring at Talk:Adi Shankara:

• What you see as 'the correct date', is rejected by scholarship. It's a belief. You can state 'Goverdhan Math beliefs that Shankara was born 507 BCE', but not 'It is a fact that Shankara was born 507 BCE.'
• The publications of Goverdhan Math are not accepted as WP:RS; this birthday-claim alone yet shows why.
• The article on Shankaracharya Temple does not day that say that 'King Gopaditya built the temple around 371 BCE'; it says "Kalhana also mentions that King Gopaditya built the temple on the top of the hill as a shrine to Jyesthesvara (Shiva Jyestharuda) around 371 BCE.[10]." That's quite a difference; Kalhana is from the 12th century CE, and not WP:RS.
• Your comment King Gopaditya built the temple on the top of the hill as a shrine to Jyesthesvara (Shiva Jyestharuda) around 371 BCE. So, They can't build the temple 378 years before his birth. makes no sense. Who's birth are you referring to? Adi Shankara? Born in 7 CE? Such nonsensical additions do nothing to improve the article; they will be removed again, and if you keep on pushing, we'll request a block for you.

- What about I mentioned the reference as Book which is dedicated to Date of Adi Shankaracharya. Ok, Don't accept the Goverdhan Math reference which is established by them self (Adi Shankaracharya), You can accept the date reference who don't even know about Adi Shankaracharya just write the book.

- Lastly, I just need to know which reference is precise the date, through which 7 C.E. is showing and except John M. Koller's reference.
