Proposed Additions[edit]

"Does the link generally get used in an inappropriate way by unestablished users, but does it not qualify for the meta spam blacklist or the local spam-blacklist since there are documents on the same server that should/could be used as an external link or reference?" Definately. My essay provides plenty of evidence regarding the many problems with the link being used in articles.

Not done, seems to have stopped already (maybe blacklisted). We really should follow up on this more quickly .. --Dirk Beetstra T C 08:01, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

fracknaps.com[edit]

This site hosts scans of printed matter. Mainly seeing this used for posting links to scanned articles from video game magazines against WP:COPY policy; see eg Special:Contributions/Kinoku (the entire history of this user is spamlinking this site) and this [1] (single addition by a more experienced user). Not many links to the site yet, but so far every single one is a copyvio problem. Bazzargh (talk) 17:49, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

 Done, user may need a block. --Dirk Beetstra T C 08:08, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

tamilnet.tv[edit]

A parody/attack site with no value to the encyclopedia (see TamilNet for an example of how the link is (mis)used). Black Falcon (Talk) 23:01, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

www.myorehab.net/articles/article-archive.htm and www.AIMS-LLC.org[edit]

(not quite sure how this works, should 1st URL be for the base address of www.myorehab.net or to the specific subpage ?)

MyoRehab clinic links repeatedly added to multiple pages by differing IPs following block of a user.

Given been able to repeatedly spam from more than one IP, I think the links to the clinic's various web presences should be blocked.David Ruben Talk 01:03, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Having just blocked 68.35.21.191, Strhoppr (talk · contribs) immediately reappeared after an absence of 18 months (so blocked as sockpuppet=meatpuppet for spamming & circumventing IP's block). Given now apparent that multiple accounts are being used for this spamming, including old inactive accounts (which if I read above instructions this bot wont catch ?) - I've asked User:Hu's help in how to have links perminently barred - please let me know if I'm not using or implementing url-block proceedures correctly :-) David Ruben Talk 01:59, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Crude instructions, however the should help some. Found a few more IP and added them to my talk page. hope it helps.--Hu12 (talk) 02:58, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hopefully now blocked - thanks. David Ruben Talk 03:35, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Put some instructional stuff together User:Hu12/Spam-blacklisting figured other admins may be unfamiliar, perhaps I may add it over @ WP:NAS. Either way, thanks for asking ;)--Hu12 (talk) 06:50, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

earlmuntz.com[edit]

Several IPs (most likely the same person as they all resolve to the same shared IP) persist in adding an external link (while often redacting others and damaging citations in the process) to the Madman Muntz article despite having repeatedly been asked not to, warned, and blocked. The external link is to a website that is almost entirely a copy and paste of the Wikipedia article itself (the remainder is copyvio from other fansites), plus a huge lot of copyvio images from uncredited sources. The link does not conform to WP:EL. Diffs:

Since this user simply resumes spamming the link under new IPs when they are blocked, I'm hoping we can spamlist the link. Nobody of Consequence (talk) 23:48, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
