To editor Beetstra: The only reason given for putting this site on the RevertList was that it is deprecated. However, deprecation is not by itself reason for blacklisting. Some argument has to be provided that blacklisting is required. Moreover, the community is severely split on whether the source should be deprecated at all, see this current discussion at RSN.     • @Zero0000: yes, deprecation is not a reason to blacklist (generally, bit depending on the case), and this is not the blacklist. XLinkBot is here mainly to inform new editors / IPs that the site is not suitable as a reference and that it needs careful thinking before use (if only the edit filter was not so heavy weight on the added links that would probably be better.
    • I will go similar to the statement of user:David Gerard in linked RSN discussion: It is not an RfC, it is a discussion trying to 'meh' the deprecation RfC, while I agree that it needs a full RfC to establish a new consensus. Until then it is deprecated. And I don't see the strong split whether it should or should not be deprecated (the original RfC was (by count) very strongly in favour of deprecating). I will wait for an independent close of the current RfC on that page. Therefore  On hold. --Dirk Beetstra T C 08:25, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
