April 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Richard Pacquette, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:39, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Tommy Taylor (footballer born 1951). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. The reverted edit can be found here. Thank you. (talk) 20:50, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning; the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Carl Heggs, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. TerriersFan (talk) 21:37, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for abuse of editing privileges, as you did at Volley (football). Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Hi there. I have nominated this category for deletion, please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2011 April 6#Category:Football Fans. Thanks and regards, GiantSnowman 14:29, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gunnersaurus Rex[edit]

Hello, I see you tried to bring Gunnersaurus Rex into it's won article and I thought you might like a few pointers to assist you in doing so. Well for a start, don't just copy what the source says, it will just get flagged for copyright. You can take the source info and re-write it in an encyclopedic tone with something such as "Gunnersaurus was involved in filming of an FA Cup advert in 2005." as an example sentence to fulfil the advert rather than going into him talking about it (how, I don't know). Also I would suggest don't write it as if you're The Club Website saying it to a Junior Gunner as someone else might not know what you're on about and AFD it. Finally I would suggest you find other sources, 1 won't be enough if you want it to remain under notibility policies. Try and find something in the Daily Mail or the BBC, any 3rd party source will be fine to establish notibility and prevent it being deleted or redirected. Something like this would be fine(-ish). The C of E. God Save The Queen! (talk) 16:10, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted it back to a redirect - the subject is non-notable. If you disagree, please let me know, and I'll take it to a deletion discussion. Regards, GiantSnowman 16:49, 6 April 2011 (UTC):User:GiantSnowman , I've left a message on Your talk page, requesting an AfD for Gunnersaurus Rex have you got it yet? Cheers, as i said, Gunner is a wellknown Mascot , sources on Arsenal.com and Bbc.com. You cant delete something if you dont like it! (take it to an AfD} Wummer71 (talk) 17:09, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's the thing, you don't want an AFD on it, that could delete it fully. I know all about Gunnersaurus as I am a Gooner myself. The C of E. God Save The Queen! (talk) 19:02, 6 April 2011 (UTC):Thanks. Wummer71 (talk) 19:05, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just thought I might add, It might help if you have a look at Wikipedia:Notability that documents what constitutes a notable subject which could help you in discussing the article with others. The C of E. God Save The Queen! (talk) 19:10, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm more than happy for this article to remain as a redirect, as it is a valid search term. It does NOT deserve a full article, however. GiantSnowman 19:32, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Template:Arsene Wenger, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. April 2011 #2[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Andy Gray (footballer born 1955), please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. GiantSnowman 16:55, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Roy Keane. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. GiantSnowman 11:17, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Edwin van der Sar, you may be blocked from editing. GiantSnowman 17:46, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Ndtvexpress provide latest news in india"[edit]

A page you created, Ndtvexpress provide latest news in india, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is obvious advertising or promotional material.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Bentogoa (talk) 10:38, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lost the dressing room[edit]

Many thanks for attempting to PROD the article on Lost the dressing room - I have completed the nomination on your behalf. To learn how to properly propose deletion, please read Wikipedia:Proposed deletion. Thanks and regards, GiantSnowman 12:21, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning; the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Kalle Närhi, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. The reverted edit can be found here. Thank you. --some jerk on the Internet (talk) 13:56, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Becuaseicouldntsee has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unremarkable horse. I wanted to speedy it, but I'm not sure if a horse actually qualifies under A7...

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kevin (talk) 23:18, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Previewing edits[edit]

Hello. Noticed your edit to Bruce Rioch. Next to the button that says "Save page", there's another button that says "Show preview". If you click that, it shows what your edited page will look like, so you can see if you've done it right. If you've messed something up, then don't save the page, either fix the mistake and then preview it again before saving, or go back and start again.

If you do save a page and it turns out a mess, you can undo your edit. You'll see a tab at the top of the page with "View history" on it. Click on that and you'll see all the edits made to that page, with yours at the top. There'll be an "Undo" button next to the details of your edit, and if you click that, it puts the page back to how it was before your edit. That's what I did to fix your mistake at Bruce Rioch. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:07, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted articles etc.[edit]

Hi there - you seem to be creating a number of non-notable articles, templates, categories etc. I'd politely suggest you have a read of Wikipedia:Your first article for a guide about what is notable on Wikipedia, as well as how to format entries. Any problems, please feel free to ask, I'll help as best I can. Thanks and regards, GiantSnowman 00:47, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Block notice[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. TerriersFan (talk) 16:21, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your editing has become unacceptably disruptive despite guidance given to you from several editors. On the expiration of your block you are welcome to resume editing but please stop:

  • creating pages on clearly non-notable topics;
  • adding unsourced material to articles;
  • adding trivial information to articles such as individual goals to the pages on football strikers
  • Removing significant content or redirecting articles with sourced content, such as you did to They think it's all over, without any attempt at discussion. For example, if you consider 'They think it's all over' is not-notable then the correct way forward was to use one of the deletion processes. TerriersFan (talk) 16:34, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
