January 2020[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Coins of the Canadian dollar. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 20:25, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Numismatics. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. not at all[edit]

I've noticed you have a tendency to poke around other people's stuff and decide what is and isnt self-promotion. I suggest a new hobby? My links direct to more sources, and as you said, these dont add anything SEO wise, so you kind of ruined your own point there? I suggest having an actual look at what I linked, as they are direct sources to a post the company (an expert in history and numismatics) wrote for educational purposes.

ADDITIONALLY, wikipedia is not what you yourself decide is ok and not ok, so at the risk of me reporting your account, please stop. You do you and let other people do them. This is childish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolakmag (talkcontribs) 14:31, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
