If you are planning to edit a chemistry page, we hope you will cooperate with our editing traditions:

WP:MEDRS. Medical/health claims come from outstanding secondary sources not just ordinary journals. They must be really good.
WP:SECONDARY. In general your contributions should emphasize reviews and books. Reviews are better for the readers. We are looking for general information usually, not specialized stuff.
Chemistry articles are about chemistry. We do not replicate information in the MSDS. Articles are not forums for recent events (WP:NOTNEWS) and our articles are not textbooks (WP:NOTTEXTBOOK).
Finally, please make your edits incremental so that we can help. Do not rewrite an entire article and then dump your essay on Wikipedia in place of the existing content. Make your changes in parts so that experienced editors can guide the revisions. In this way, other editors can help you and, more importantly, our readers.
