Welcome Msg[edit]

Hello, Wjhonson, welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like the place and decide to stay. I hope you haven't taken insult at my changes to some of the articles you contributed or created; I was just adjusting their text to make them conform to our manual of style.

If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Village pump. If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. -- llywrch 01:31, 15 Nov 2003 (UTC)

User Page[edit]

Thanks for modifying my edit about Him Whom God Shall Make Manifest in the Mirza Yahya Nuri Subh-i Azal article; you make a fair point. I must admit that I miss the significance of the current edit war in the article but you clearly have strong views. Can you write a little about yourself on your User Page? Your many contributions show a wide range of interests beyond the Baha'i-related subjects. Can you write something about what is important to you? Thanks. --Occamy 16:53, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Archiving[edit]

That is NOT official policy, that is TALK about official policy, a very different thing. KillerChihuahua?!? 00:07, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Because EC JUST CHANGED IT! And I just changed it back. Wjhonson 00:08, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I saw your revert. I don't disagree with it. The point is that your links above are to Talk pages, not Policy pages, and are NOT policy. KillerChihuahua?!? 00:10, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
My change is to the policy page. You can see that EC changed it. And you can tell he did it for *my* benefit. Without a consensus. Now what do you say Wjhonson 00:11, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am posting here the exact wording from the Vandalism page (not the TALK page). "Talk page vandalism - Deleting the comments of other users from article Talk pages, or deleting entire sections thereof, is generally considered vandalism. Removing personal attacks is often considered legitimate, and it is considered acceptable to archive an overly long Talk page to a separate file and then remove the text from the main Talk page. The above does not apply to the user's own Talk page, where users generally are permitted to remove outside comments at their discretion. " Wjhonson 00:13, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Precisely correct. Also further down, under Types of vandalism:
Removing warnings Removing warnings, whether for vandalism or other forms of prohibited/discouraged behavior, from one's talk page is also considered vandalism.
Which would be why the first entry specifies generally are permitted - because generally, they are, but not in cases of warnings. And that's the policy. KillerChihuahua?!? 00:19, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In [[1]] EC had JUST changed this word "Outside" to "Vandalous" to try to defeat my argument, but that kind of slippery thing doesn't work on me. Wjhonson 00:14, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please Assume good faith - I think Ec was trying to clarify, as there seems to be confusion. IMHO, a better way would have been to clarify "...where users generally are permitted to remove outside comments at their discretion, except in cases of warnings, which they are prohibited from removing." It does seem to be causing some confusion. KillerChihuahua?!? 00:19, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Warnings FROM Admins would be acceptable. See my talk comments in Vandalism. Wjhonson 00:24, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
seen and replied to. KillerChihuahua?!? 00:25, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

I have been given clearance by admin KillerChihuahua to move this section to my archive. Are you listening Cunado19 ? Wjhonson 03:25, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Now, now, no need to fan flames. Besides, you don't need my "clearance" to archive old notices. I was happy to be able to answer your questions, is all. KillerChihuahua?!? 03:48, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing an Deletion Nomination notice from an article does not stop the deletion process. As you have signifigantly grown this article, I have withdrawn my afd nomination on this article to shut down the deletion discussion. Thanks for the good editing! xaosflux Talk/CVU 17:37, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did it because in your deletion nomination you said I could do it if it were grown. Since I grew it, I removed it. Wjhonson 17:38, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page[edit]

...is looking very good. Much more informative than previously. Gratz on the Barnstar also, I am sure it is well deserved. KillerChihuahua?!? 15:52, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
