Conflict of interest concerns

Hello, WestCoastSue. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article P.E.O. Sisterhood, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. wiki quality

I agree that I am too close to this subject and need to be very careful. I am seeking out references and images that will show what P.E.O. actually is in 2015. My edits obviously cannot stand as-is.

I am an ordinary active member of my chapter and do not receive any payment from them; Quite the opposite.

P.E.O. differs from other sisterhoods in recruiting mature women rather than students. Women who have spent decades balancing work and family commitments who find themselves in middle-age suddenly free of child-related duties have time, skill and energy to put into their communities. The P.E.O. harnesses these energies and, corny as it may sound, tries to use them for "good".
